About Me
If you haven’t guessed it already from the name of my
web site, my passion is to help people discover how to live
a life of joy and abundance, health & well-being. To do
this I work with EFT (emotional freedom techniques) and other
bits and bobs I've picked up along the way.
I suffered anxiety and depression, fatigue and an underactive
thyroid condition before finding healing with EFT. I am now
passionate about helping others to find the next step on their
own individual path to healing and feel honoured to be able
to
accompany people
some way along their unique journey. My belief is that we all
have our own innate drive towards health and well-being and
when we are empowered with tools and belief, the sky is the
limit. I just love working with EFT which enables me to work
with a client's inner guidance and wisdom - at
some level, we
all
seem to know what
we need. I am continually awed and inspired by my clients'
creativity.
I started life with the trauma of an emergency cesarean which
has coloured my perspective on the world and of myself until
recently. It is no surprise therefore that I have a strong
interest in all things birth-related, particularly for those
who were traumatized as babies going through the birth process.
This has been an often-ignored and under-recognised trauma,
with all the focus going on the mother’s ordeal and none
on the baby. I have studied with the HypnoBirthing Institute
and am passionate about empowering women to make heartfelt
choices about their pregnancy and birth based on the knowledge
and understanding that their baby is aware of everything that
surrounds him.

My first degree is in music andI played both
clarinet and piano. My partner and I ran a classical
music
recording and editing business successfully for many years
and I felt privileged to help some great musicians and composers
with their creations. However, at age 5, my eldest son was
diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome
and
this
brought
me into contact with complementary therapy. I knew immediately
that I wanted to become a therapist, but which therapy to choose?
Eventually the therapy chose me and I studied hypnotherapy
for two years.
I have long had a sense of
being inexorably drawn into my own journey
to discover
my
authentic
self. Understanding
who we are is at the core of the Human
Design System which
also blends beautifully with the Law of Attraction and EFT.
Knowing how to make my decisions from the right place,
which is different for each of us and is never ever the mind,
has been a very important step towards living
with well-being and happiness.
I decided to take the EFT training after having downloaded
the free manual and tried it out for myself and with my clients.
I was amazed at the results and continue to be appreciative
of the generous open-handed way Gary Craig distributed the
information. There
is now a
comprehensive
library of articles on his web
site as well as blogs, videos
and teleclasses being held all over the world. It is unlike
any other therapy I know of in this way information is so freely
available.
EFT has helped me to overcome years of depression and anxiety,
return my thyroid to normal functioning and to feel more content
and confident in my role as a parent to two fantastic but challenging
boys. It helped me to heal my own birth trauma and many painful
memories from childhood which were interfering with my ability
to be the kind of loving, calm and centered mother I wanted
to be. I do so wish I had known about EFT before my children
were born in similarly traumatic circumstances, although without
surgery, but at least I know now that it is always possible
to heal those traumas and that the work I do on my own healing
benefits everyone in this family, not just me.
EFT for conception, pregnancy, childbirth and parenting is
a large part of the work I do and is often known as Inner Child
healing.
Because I believe that these children who are often labelled
as ADHD, ODD, PDD or ASD or are often known as Rainbow
or Indigo children, are so important to
our future, I am currently involved with organisations where
support is offered to parents so that they can appreciate
the unique gifts of these children. It is our
role to understand them and to help them achieve their
full potential within a world which sees them as difficult
and damaged - actually it is often the strictures of our societal
rules that cause damage to their self-esteem and creativity.
Home educating, or unschooling, my eldest son has brought
me the great delight of seeing his passionate and hugely energetic
nature
coming
to the fore again. It also presents me with new challenges,
helping me to break out of so many of my inherited beliefs
about parenting, education and children’s developmental
needs. As I’m
giving him freedom to express himself, so I’m also discovering
my own creative freedom.
During the summer I love to be out in my tiny but packed garden
and I love sitting in the sun hearing the sound of the waves,
surrounded by all the glorious colours of the flowers and plants.
When the weather makes it more difficult to be outside, that
creative energy tends to get channeled into painting. I love
experimenting with oil paints and the way they mix on the canvas
as the painting develops. I also still have my great love of
classical music and, although I can no longer play as well
as I used to, I still enjoy listening.
My personality profile is that of an INFP - archetype
of Healer and my
Human Design profile
is Projector 6/2.
